A group of RSHU students of Hydrological faculty: Serova Olga, Legotina Polina, Yukhno Artem and Churyulin Eugene under the guidance of Dr.Larisa Timofeeva (associate professor, Department of Land Hydrology), from 14 to 29 January 2016 took part in the practical training on hydrology in the National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysore, India. The visit has been carried out in frameworks of the Memorandum between the Russian State Hydrometeorological University and the National Institute of Engineering (India) signed on 6/6/2014.
The program of visit of the RSHU group in NIE (Mysore) was very intense and interesting. The students and Dr. Timofeeva visited an experimental watershed in Kodagu and Berambadi, engineering research station in Karnataka, water and wastewater treatment facilities in Mysore and Hongalli.
They took part on two workshops on water resources – Perspective and Management in Karnataka. Technical talk and field visits on “Research Opportunities in field Hydrology” and “Conservation of Urban Tanks for Water Management and Reuse”.
We are looking forward of the NIE students visit to Russian State Hydrometeorological University in February 2016.
